Corn Silage Dry Down Monitoring Tool

Harvesting corn for silage at the correct whole plant moisture is the first step to making high quality silage, and we have one opportunity to do it correctly each season.

Use the tool

This application provides monitoring of whole corn plant moisture, planting dates, and hybrid relative maturity, helping farmers, crop advisors, and agricultural researchers to make data-driven decisions regarding proper corn silage harvest to meet farm forage quality goals.

Weekly Regional Corn Silage Dry Down Reports

Each week our team of regional crops educators will provide updates on the status of the silage corn crop and harvest. Check back each Friday to see what is happening across the state.
