Tower silo capacity spreadsheet

This spreadsheet calculates an estimate of the dry matter capacity when a top unloading and bottom unloading tower silo is filled and after removing some silage. It also calculates an estimate of the quantity of dry matter removed. Use this spreadsheet as part of a feed inventory program. This spreadsheet is not sufficiently accurate to allow silage sale between two parties.  Spreadsheet input values are: Silo Diameter, Settled Depth when Full, Settled Depth after Silage Removal, Silage Dry Matter Content and Value of Silage Dry Matter.

Tower silo capacity with refills spreadsheet

This spreadsheet calculates an estimate of the dry matter capacity when a top unloading tower silo is filled and after removing some silage. It also calculates an estimate of the quantity of dry matter removed and the quantity of silage dry matter added after each refilling. The spreadsheet accommodates up to four forage harvests with silage removal between harvests. An estimate of the total quantity of dry matter added and removed from the silo is calculated.

Use this spreadsheet as part of a feed inventory program. This spreadsheet is not sufficiently accurate to allow silage sale between two parties.  Spreadsheet input values are: Silo Diameter, Maximum Settled Depth of Silage in the Previous Season, Settled Depth at Start of First Harvest, Settled Depth After First and Subsequent Harvests, Settled Depth after Silage Removal Before Second and Subsequent Harvests, and Silage Dry Matter Content.
