The June 14th Badger Crop Connect session features discussions from Dr. Emily Bick, Extension Precision Pest Technology Specialist, and Dr. Rodrigo Werle, Extension Cropping Systems Weed Scientist. Dr. Bick reviews corn rootworm biology and then focuses on her work to develop in-field sensors that detect rootworm and other crop impacting insects. Dr. Werle reviews the potential impact of dry conditions on performance of pre-emergent herbicide applications and how to effectively select post-emergent modes of action to counter escaped weed populations.
