Producer-led groups, Nitrogen Optimization Pilot Program (NOPP) projects, demo farms, and individuals participating in on-farm research in Wisconsin are invited to create and share a poster at the Wisconsin Water and Soil Health Conference (WWASH) on December 15, 2026.
On the first day of the conference there will be a 45 minute poster session for attendees to view the posters and learn more from the accompanying groups. Presenters are invited to stand by their posters to answer questions, network, and share stories.
This is an opportunity to demonstrate and share your group’s greatest success from the past year. Consider presenting a big win, new project, great event, or demonstration your group has led.
Attendees will vote for their favorite poster; the winner will be announced the next day and receive the “Golden Probe Award.”

Instructions and How to Enter
Email Jordyn Sattler at jordyn.sattler@wisc.edu by November 15 to enter your poster to ensure a spot.
Choose one of the two templates provided by the WWASH team (from Jordyn Sattler) or use your own design to create your personalized poster.
Edit the template to include information about your group or project. Feel free to change the font, color, theme, etc. to make your poster unique to your group.
Ideas to Include in Your Poster
- Introduction – Where you are located, type of farming systems, soil types, landscape, how long you have been a group, why you opted to participate in on-farm research, etc.
- A big win from this year – Did you have an increase in acres under best management practices? Added new farmers or collaborators? Received funding for a new project?
- A new project you started or hope to start – Give an update on how it’s going, steps moving forward, how you plan to execute, etc. Do you have data or results to share? What do the results mean to your group and community?
- What you learned so far – Do you have advice for others about how to receive funding, start a project, or do’s/don’t within a group? Maybe a project didn’t go as planned – why didn’t it? Can you make changes for next year? Have you found better ways of being successful within your group? Please share!
- Any other information you’d like to share with the agricultural community about your group or project!

Register for the WWASH Conference and book your hotel room.
At the conference, you only need to bring your printed poster. An easel, foam board and poster clips will be provided.
Stand by your poster during the poster session on December 15, from 1:00-1:45 p.m. Room TBD.
The winning poster will be announced during lunch the next day.
