
Wisconsin Dells, WI – The University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension is pleased to announce agenda details for the Wisconsin Water and Soil Health (WWASH) Conference presentations, breakout sessions, and more.
Join us at the WWASH Conference on December 16–17, 2025, at the Kalahari Resort and Convention Center in Wisconsin Dells, where you can gain insights and learn lessons from farmers like you, and be a part of in-depth discussions on important topics like navigating weather changes, making decisions from soil test results, and farmer-led research.
This year’s conference features an impressive lineup including keynotes with Dr. Matt Helmers, Professor/Director, Iowa Nutrient Research Center, Iowa State University, presenting, “Nutrient Loss Reduction: We need all available practices,” and Dr. Anna Cates, Associate Extension Professor/State Soil Health Specialist, Univesity of Minnesota, presenting, “All Hands on Deck: What every sector can do to grow cover crops.”
Agenda Highlights:
- Twelve breakout sessions to choose from, such as, “Making Decisions from Soil Health Test Results,” “Diving Deeper into Tile Drainage,” and “Advancing Conservation Through Farmer-Led Research.”
- “Weather Weirdness and Soil Health,” with Steve Vavrus, Wisconsin State Climatology Office.
- Hear farmer experiences from the farmer panel, “Scaling Conservation Using Producer Led Efforts.”
- Roundtables that offer a unique, unstructured opportunity to ask Extension specialists about topics that are important to you.
