Join UW–Madison Extension and the Bick Lab in River Falls on Fri., Aug. 7 at 2:00 p.m. for a soybean gall midge scouting field day.

This field day provides hands-on training in identifying, scouting, and managing soybean gall midge, an emerging and economically important pest in Midwest soybean systems.

While not yet found in Wisconsin, participants will learn how to detect early infestations, distinguish damage from other issues, and apply integrated management strategies.

Who Should Attend?

This event is designed for crop consultants, scouts, growers, extension personnel, and anyone involved in soybean production who wants practical, field-based skills to improve pest detection and response.

Registration is free but required, and all are welcome to join.
