The third annual Wisconsin Extension Weed Management Workshop, Sept. 2 from 8:15 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. in Arlington, WI, features four positive Wisconsin farmer stories of weed control during its farmer panel, one of many activities at this year’s field day.
Farmer panelists include:
- Steve Hoffman, Manitowoc County farmer and InDepth Agronomy president and managing agronomist
- Karl Geske, Trempealeau County farmer and Buffalo Trempealeau Farmer Network president
- Andy Bensend, Barron County farmer and Wisconsin Soybean Marketing Board member
- Pat Mullooly, Rock County farmer, Wisconsin Soybean Marketing Board member, and DeLong Company agronomist
Before and after the farmer panel are two keynote talks. Dr. Patrick Tranel, professor of crop sciences at the University of Illinois, will present “Why have the rules changed for managing herbicide resistance?”, and Greg Dahl, director of adjuvant education for the Council of Producers and Distributors of Agrotechnology, will present “Making Good Adjuvant Decisions: Selection, Performance, and Practical Lessons.”
