In the September 25, 2024 Badger Crop Connect webinar, Monica Schauer, the UW NOPP Research Director, discussed an ongoing grant program that funds Wisconsin farmers to do on-farm nitrogen application rate research. As the second growing season of the Nitrogen Optimization Pilot Program concludes, this presentation will highlight examples of farmer-driven questions evolving into research projects with impactful results for both participants and UW. The presentation will also cover the program’s broader scope and explore opportunities for the future.
