Laura Flandermeyer has joined UW-Madison, Division of Extension as the new Pest Management Outreach Specialist in the Nutrient and Pest Management and Pesticide Applicator Training Programs.
As an outreach specialist, Laura will be providing statewide education for commercial and private pesticide applicators. She will also be focusing on insect pest management in corn, soybean, wheat and alfalfa.
Before starting her new role in November 2024, Laura was a laboratory manager in the Bick Original Digital Entomology Lab at UW-Madison. Laura received a Master of Science in Entomology from Washington State University in 2024 and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Engineering from Purdue University in 2022.
